Huntington Beach Native Landscaping Project
It started with an idea, and grew into a passion!
The homeowner needed to replace their patio, which was cracked, and were having problems with drainage around their loamy-clay soil yard.
The solution? A french drain, and a lot of native and low water plants (and a rainbarrel or two to water them)!
The initial site idea was drawn by myself, and then taken to a landscape architect for more technical drawings. However, over time the plants have been added to (and quite a few of the architect's have been "subtracted") and the result is a beautiful, low water mixture of native plants, succulents, and low-water plants.
It's lush and blooming throughout the year, with only three minutes of water with an irrigation system weekly!
